Our home is set up on a ten acre package which is located 5 miles West of Hythe Alberta operates off grid. The house and garage operates on wind; Whisper 200, Solar; BP 80 watt Solar Panels (16) and a backup Coleman 25KVW propane operated generator. Our battery bank comprises a combination of 8 Surrette and 8 Trojan 466 amp hr. Batteries.

Hey Larry,
Just wanted to give an update that those two Sanyo 215 panels I slapped
on the roof of my RV are working better than I even imagined. It's pretty darn satisfying
to be surfing the web and blaring tunes knowing it's all courtesy of the sun and
requires almost no maintenance other than the batteries and keeping things clean.
The RS232 capabilities of the Tristar MPPT 45 are also incredible, I was able to
set the voltage set points to exactly match my battery specs and I have an abundance
of energy. Thanks for all the help picking parts.
